Pray, Recharge, Repeat!
Have you ever noticed how much we’re all influenced by the world around us? Sometimes without even realizing it?
It starts early. Maybe it’s something we saw on the street, a line from a movie, a comment someone made at home, or even just the way people acted around us when we were kids. Little by little, these things shape the way we think, how we see ourselves, and how we respond to the world. We don’t always choose what influences us, but we do choose what we hold onto. That’s the thing about influence: it’s not just something that happens to us. It’s also something we give back. We’re not just being shaped, we’re shaping others too, through our words, our choices, our presence.
Every day, we’re surrounded by influences. Some lift us up. Others pull us down. Some encourage us to love, forgive, and grow. Others fill us with fear, anger, or doubt. And the truth is, we can’t always control all of it, but we can choose what we let in. That’s why it’s so important to stay grounded.
And for me, that grounding comes during my quality time with God. Let me put it this way: do you charge your phone at night?
I bet you do. Why? Because you need it full and ready for the next day, right?
Well, your soul needs the same kind of care. Prayer, reading the Bible , and time with God is how we recharge. It’s how we refill our hearts so we’re not running on empty. Life is busy. It's loud. And it pulls us in a hundred directions, but quiet time with God helps us center ourselves. It gives us peace, strength, and focus for whatever comes next.
It’s in those still moments where you feel real clarity. You are reminded who you are. You remember who God is. You hear His voice guiding you. That’s where you get your direction. That’s where you receive your strength.
The Bible reminds us in Romans 12:2 not to conform to the patterns of the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. In other words, we’re not called to blend in, we’re called to stand out by showing Love, Peace, and Grace in everything we do.
We are meant to be carriers of God’s presence. And the more you spend time with Him, the more you start to reflect Him. We become vessels, overflowing with light, hope, and encouragement for the people around us.
So here you a question:
What kind of influence are you leaving behind?
Are you shining God’s light in your daily life—or just going with the flow, without thinking?
Because whether you see it or not, your life is influencing others. The way you speak to people. The way you handle tough situations. The way you treat yourself and those around you. It all matters. It all leaves a mark.
So don’t skip it your quality time. Make space for it.
